Day 3

Temples: 11 Lodging: Guesthouse Channel-Kan Steps logged: 16,852 Distance traveled: 7.48 miles (Fitbit), 5.62 miles (Google) As anticipated, it rained all day. So we left our bags at our lodging, donned raincoats, and walked up to Temple 11 unburdened so that we can justify taking a taxi to temple 11 tomorrow morning to shave off a little time. The altitude profile of the next 12.4 km is daunting. It is a series of steep climbs and descents with multiple peaks, the highest of which is 750m (temple 10 yesterday was only 150m high). So after getting the stamp at temple 11, we headed over to the onsen for a soak and some time in the massage chair. We also ate our way through the local kaiten sushi restaurant... Twice. Our lodging tomorrow is set at Sudachi-kan, a pension just a couple km down the mountain from temple 12.
